Split a/d

GC: There is a small and incoherent attestation for a with 03, 01, and P53 (3rd century) as A-related core. The majority of witnesses are split between b and d. Both these attestations are coherent, but d has a broader A-related basis than b and also a.

TP: We would normally think that the shorter reading is the initial one, the subject accusative seems to have been inserted in different places by scribes.[1] The incoherencies in the a attestation, however, show that the accusative was occasionally omitted.  Further, the most important witness for the shorter reading, 03, is known for a tendency to omit short words that are unnecessary for the meaning of a phrase.
