This site is devoted to the study of Greek New Testament manuscripts. The New Testament Virtual Manuscript Room is a place where scholars can come to find the most exhaustive list of New Testament manuscript resources, can contribute to marking attributes about these manuscripts, and can find state of the art tools for researching this rich dataset.

 

While our tools are reasonably functional for anonymous users, they provide additional features and save options once a user has created an account and is logged in on the site. For example, registered users can save transcribed pages to their personal account and create personalized annotations to images.

Hello Katie and Greg, Thanks so much for taking the time to compile this research and give tips on how to utilize the search engine. Does the metadata of the Liste denote each manuscript that is a palimpsest, and can this be filtered from the website? If not, could you point me to a resource? I am particularly interested in palimpsests with the lower text as New Testament majuscule. I know that some recent discoveries at Saith Catherine's are such.

Yes, in the field called “Has Feature” you can select Palimpsest, and then further select Undertext or Overtext. If you also type the number 2 in the Manuscript Num. field at the top of the search page, then your results are limited to just majuscules.
