R1

GC: Both variants a and b have incoherencies, but a has a small coherent core of A-related witnesses.

TP: Variant a is ambiguous in meaning. At first glance it will be read as recitative while it can also be understood as interrogative as in NA28 and other modern editions.[1] Therefore Greeven thinks that the majority reading b is a clarification and opts for a as initial text.[2] The incoherencies in the a attestation, however, show an inclination to omit τί rather than to add it.

[1]        Cf. BDF/BDR §300.2, where ὅτι in Mark 2:16 is interpreted as abbreviating τί τι.

Lect. 60 is cited as supporting both reading 2-12 (a) and 2-12 (g); both transcription and image shows it only supports (g): https://ntvmr.uni-muenster.de/manuscript-workspace?a=1&docID=40060&pageID=2400&fullPage=true

Thanks! We will update the digital ECM soon to reflect that L60 reads only g here.
